If the thought of teaching your child to write sends you into a cold sweat, then this course was especially designed for you.
I remember years ago picking up a middle school English curriculum and being stunned by the quantity of information needed for each lesson--so many guides and long checklists. Whew! It was intimidating for me--someone who likes this language arts stuff.
I had two struggling writers to teach and not a lot of time to figure out how to do it. So I asked myself, what do they really need to know? And that's what I taught them. The essentials. What they need to be prepared for college and for life. And that's what I'm bringing to you in this course.
By the end of this course, you'll be ready to teach your homeschooler valuable writing skills.
--you'll know what the writing process is and exactly how to teach it
--you'll learn how to teach assignments similar to the ones students are asked to write in college composition classes, so you can be confident you are teaching relevant skills
--you'll learn how to evaluate or grade student writing
Imagine the freedom that comes from being able to teach this subject yourself—knowing that you won’t have enroll your child in expensive online courses or pay even more money for an in-person tutor. Nor will you have to “just hope” that your child learns to write well enough to get by. This course takes out all the guesswork and equips you to be a confident writing instructor.
